Job summary
At HUC, our Lead GPs are both compassionate clinicians and inspiring leaders, playing a crucial role in supporting colleagues and shaping the future of urgent and primary care. As a Lead GP for South West of England, you will lead local OOH services and Clinical Assessment Service. You will not only deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred care but also guide, mentor, and empower fellow GPs to achieve clinical excellence. Acting as a trusted point of contact, you will create a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement, ensuring teams are supported, patients receive outstanding care, and services evolve to meet community needs.
This is an excellent opportunity for GPs who aspire to grow their leadership skills while maintaining a strong clinical practice. With support from our Clinical Directors, Chief Medical Officer, and wider leadership team, you will gain valuable experience in quality governance, service improvement, and strategic influence. Whether you are seeking to enhance your leadership portfolio or contribute to system-wide improvements in urgent care, this role offers the chance to make a tangible difference for both patients and colleagues, while building your future as a clinical leader.
