Job summary

The role of BI Manager will lead advanced analysis, interpretation and presentation of highly complex data and information to support planning and decision making on current and new services. The post holder will line manage Data Analysts The post holder will be responsible providing expert advice and guidance to the organisation on all services, but predominantly HUCs Integrated Urgent Care services. The role will support the delivery of the teams vison and strategic goals though the identification of key insights that drive improvements to the effectiveness and efficiency of the services provided. The post holder will support the embedding of business intelligence at the heart of all analysis and reporting activity.

Main duties of the job

Lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive business intelligence platform, from ETL processes to analysis and reporting tools, to enable effective monitoring and management of key performance indicators (KPIs) and service delivery metrics

Ensure the provision of information to enable the business to effectively manage its KPIs, service level agreements and targets to support corporate planning, activity monitoring and general management, to identify areas for improvement and maximize performance

Identify and lead on improvement activities particularly leading on data quality and availability, dashboard creation and performance improvement projects

Lead a team of Data Analysts, to deliver personal and team objectives monitoring their performance and ensuring they meet their full potential.

LOCATION Hybrid: Home working with requirement to attend HUC sites when necessary

As a highly successful and leading provider of NHS services, we are recruiting an Analytics Team Manager to join our dynamic Business Intelligence team, to help develop BI strategy and analysis and deliver key insights to the organisation.

The post holder will support the Head of Business Intelligence in delivering advanced analysis, interpretation and presentation of highly complex data to support planning and decision making. The Analytics Team Manager will be responsible for line managing members of the BI Team and will support the delivery of the teams vison and strategic goals though the identification of key insights that drive improvements to the services that HUC provide.

Essential:

o Experience managing a team

o Decision making and problem-solving skills

o Project management experience

o Advanced Excel skills

o Skilled at interpretation and analysis of large and complex data sets

o Experience using technology to innovate, implement new ideas and drive positive change

Advantageous:

o Knowledge of T-SQL

o Knowledge of SQL Server Integration Service (SSIS)

o Experience using PowerBI or similar BI data visualisation tools

o Experience using statistical programming languages such as python or R

o Experience in the NHS or other key agencies providing care
