Job summary
As
a not-for-profit GP Federation, South Downs Health and Care is slightly
different in that we are not a GP Practice with our own list of patients.
Instead, we provide services at scale such as out of hours NHS GP services on
behalf of local practices (pre-booked appointments), Flu and Covid Vaccination
Services and much more! SDHC also provide a Private GP service to the local
community.
We have an exciting opportunity for an ACP / Clinical Nurse Manager to join our busy and friendly team.
This is a new developmental role for South Downs Health and Care, ultimately enabling us to build our own nursing team.
You will join our team of GPs, GP Trainees, Advanced Clinical Practitioners, Vaccinators and Phlebotomists who work extremely hard in providing services to support GP Practices in East Sussex.
Main duties of the job
This is a developmental post at
SDHC, which will be multi-faceted. The Advanced Care Practitioner Prescriber /
Clinical Nurse Manager (ACP/CNM) will be the primary point of contact for nurses
working at SDHC and will have several key responsibilities. This role will have
a clinical component of at least 50%.
As an ACP Prescriber you will undertake patient
consultation, examination, and treatment of patients who are referred to SDHC
from local GP practices.
The ACP/CNM will play a significant role in leadership of
the on-going Covid-19 vaccinations service, as well as scoping out and
developing the clinical offering to provide other vaccinations in line with the
national strategy.
You will support the Clinical Director and
Director of Quality Compliance and Engagement to deliver safe and effective
clinical services with a focus on Infection Prevention and Control (IPC). This
will involve leadership and operational actions to ensure that premises and
services are compliant with Infection Prevention Control requirements.
You will be responsible for developing, mobilising and
delivering new nurse led services for NHS contracts
and Private Services, including family planning, Cervical Screening, NHS
Health checks, Spirometry, ECGs and more.
You will be responsible for your
own workload, including undertaking audits, and delivering training.
Please see the Job Description/Person
