Job summary

St Peter's Hospice is currently looking for Cleaners to help us maintain high standards of cleanliness in our clinical areas.

As part of our valued Housekeeping Team, you will be working to meet daily priorities or the regular cleaning schedule as required by the Housekeeping Supervisor.

You will need to be able to maintain high standards of Health, Safety and Hygiene, with particular regard for areas which are infection controlled and to undertake training as required; ensuring that cleaning equipment is used appropriately and maintained to a high standard.

You will to be sensitive to individual patient needs when cleaning rooms and in communicating patients, families and carers.

About the role:

  • Location: Brentry, Bristol (BS10)
  • Pay: £10.89 to £11.45 per hour, dependant on experience (equivalent to £21,284 to £22,384 a year for full time hours)
  • Position Type: permanent, part time
  • Working on the In Patient Unit (IPU) and sometimes in the offices
  • Full training will be given.

We have a choice of hours available, working a shift pattern between 7am - 5pm (shifts are 7-12, 9-2 or 12-5 as required):

  • 20 hours per week, over 4 days, Monday to Thursday
  • 25 hours per week, over 5 days, Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job
