Job summary

Join a service that puts patient outcomes first. As an Adult ADHD Assessor & Reviewer (Prescribing route), youll combine expert clinical judgement with practical, person-centred care. Your week blends remote video clinics and face-to-face slots at our Worcester and Redditch hubs. Mornings might start with a structured diagnostic assessment, followed by a clear, compassionate feedback call. After lunch, youll run brief titration check-ins, review baselines and monitoring, andwhen the dose is rightprepare a safe shared-care handover back to the GP.

Youll work shoulder-to-shoulder with a Principal Clinical Psychologist, Consultant Psychiatrist and Clinical GP Lead, with access to weekly MDTs for complex cases. We prioritise NICE-aligned practice, protected admin time, standardised templates and timely letters so your clinical time stays focused on what matters: helping people function better at home, work and in relationships.

Main duties of the job

  • Deliver structured diagnostic assessments (history, impairment, co-morbidity, risk) and provide clear feedback and written plans.
  • Initiate and adjust medication within local formulary; arrange/interpret baselines and physical health monitoring.
  • Run brief titration contacts until stable; complete safe shared-care transfers to primary care (EPS and templates).
  • Document contemporaneously; produce high-quality letters on the day; maintain accurate, auditable records.
  • Present complex cases at the weekly MDT; contribute to audit, incident learning and quality improvement.
  • Support induction, case discussion and day-to-day coaching for colleagues; uphold safeguarding, consent/capacity and information governance at all times.

  • Relevant degree aligned to registration (BSc Nursing, MPharm, MBBS/MBChB or equivalent).
  • Recent ADHD-specific CPD or formal training relevant to adult assessment and prescribing (for example UKAAN modules) within the last 24 months.
