ADHD Service Lead/Prescriber

The closing date is 04 June 2025

Job summary

Are you passionate about ADHD care and ready to lead an ambitious clinical service that is transforming lives across Worcestershire? At Vertis Health, we are looking for an experienced clinician and inspiring leader to take the helm of our ADHD prescribing and treatment pathway.

This is a hybrid role with flexibility to combine remote work and in-person delivery. You will lead a growing multi-disciplinary team delivering high quality ADHD assessment, prescribing and follow up care across our Neurodevelopmental Service. This is a unique opportunity to influence the future of community mental health in a forward-thinking organisation that puts clinical autonomy, collaboration and people at its heart.

If you are an independent prescriber with experience in ADHD and leadership, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

As ADHD Service Lead, you will work closely with the Clinical Lead, Team Leader, and wider programme team to deliver a gold standard service for children and adults with ADHD. This includes direct clinical input, prescribing responsibilities, and team leadership. You will oversee service quality and delivery, providing strategic leadership to ensure best practice, safe prescribing, and integrated care pathways. You will lead on risk management, clinical governance, and quality improvement, shaping how care is delivered and supporting the development of a growing team of prescribers. A typical day might involve reviewing complex cases, supporting clinicians with prescribing decisions, liaising with ICB stakeholders on patient pathways, developing new policy documentation, and feeding into our wider neurodevelopmental strategy. You will also be responsible for driving clinical education and shared learning within the team, embedding NICE guidelines and new innovations into day-to-day practice.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing day-to-day leadership across the ADHD prescribing service
  • Managing risk and overseeing care for high-risk patients
  • Supporting prescribers and acting as the clinical point of escalation
  • Leading on service development, innovation and policy creation
  • Delivering direct patient care and prescribing within your clinical remit
  • Contributing to the wider Neurodevelopmental Service and strategy

About us

At Vertis Health, we are proud to be a clinician-led, patient-focused organisation. Our ADHD service is one of the fastest growing in the region, built on clinical excellence, service user involvement, and a strong sense of purpose.

You will be part of a progressive team with the freedom to shape how services are delivered and the support to take your career further. This role is suited to someone who thrives on leadership, is confident in clinical decision making, and wants to make a difference to people with ADHD.

If you are looking for a role where your ideas, values and clinical skill will be respected and where you can make a real impact from day one, we would love to hear from you.

We welcome applicants from all backgrounds and are proud to be an inclusive employer. Flexible working and development opportunities are available.
