Job summary

We are looking for an adaptable and capable Receptionist/ Administrator to join our amazing team at Farrier House Surgery.

14 hours a week Monday, Wednesday and Friday starting at 8am. Shift Pattern can be discussed at the interview).

You will be responsible for undertaking a wide range of reception duties and the provision of administrative support to the Practice Team.

Main duties of the job

Duties can include but are not limited to:greeting and directing patients; effective use of the appointment system; booking appointments; processing of information and assisting patients as required. You will act as the central point of contact for patients, the distribution of information, messages and enquiries for the clinical team, liaising with multi-disciplinary team members and external agencies such as secondary care and community service providers.

  • Receptionist and or Administrative professional experience.
  • Quick learning ability.
  • Strong organizational skills with acute attention to detail.
  • Effective prioritization and adeptness at working under pressure.
  • Clear and concise communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
  • Rapid proficiency in picking up computer software features.
  • Team player mindset with a deep appreciation for teamwork.
  • Ability to handle a high volume of telephone calls and manage multiple telephone lines comfortably.
  • Courteous and efficient interaction with the general public.
  • Unwavering commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Desirable

  • Availability for rapid response to the surgery in case of sickness cover needs.
  • Prior experience in the NHS or in customer service roles.
