Job summary

This role is pivotal in shaping a values based culture where employees and volunteers feel appreciated, listened to and supported. You will be responsible for the operational delivery of People and OD objectives and initiatives through leading the People Team and providing professional advice on the full range of employment matters, ensuring people processes and policies are compliant, supporting staff wellbeing initiatives and managing the full recruitment life cycle of both staff and volunteers. This will support the achievement of the Hospices wider strategy and business plan.

Main duties of the job

What youll do:

Lead the People Team to deliver a professional values driven service

Business Partner with managers and provide expert, professional advice and coaching on the full range of employment matters

Manage employee relations casework and promote early resolution.

Support/Lead on projects that include Wellbeing, Equality, Diversity and Inclusivity, Recruitment and Continuous Improvement.

Oversee recruitment of staff and volunteers.

Ensure compliance with employment legislation and CQC requirements.
