A fantastic opportunity for a People Professional to join a truly collaborative team where what we do makes a real difference.

Based in Dorchester and using your expert knowledge and excellent interpersonal skills, you will provide focused and professional first line People Services Advice on people policies and procedures.

Main duties of the job

You will also lead on delivering end-to-end recruitment for Weldmar across a broad range of roles, including Doctors, Nurses, Chefs, Gardeners, Retail, Wellbeing and Support. Working with Leaders and supported by People Partners and Associates, you will use your understanding of recruitment methods to create and refine effective attraction, assessment and selection approaches and prioritise an excellent candidate journey. Youll also be responsible for creating offer letters, contracts and change letters.

If you are a team player and have the ability to work supportively with colleagues and ability to maintain confidentiality at all times, as well as working autonomously to manage your own workload, we would love to hear from you.

Youll have a high level of administration skills including various HR / Recruitment Systems with working knowledge of end to end recruitment and relevant legislation. Ideally you would also possess a CIPD qualification in HR or equivalent knowledge gained through experience.

An Basic Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Check is required.

About Weldmar Hospicecare: Rated Outstanding by the CQC, Weldmar Hospicecare provides specialist care to adults in Dorset with a life limiting illness, and support to their loved ones. This care is given in the comfort of patients own homes, in the community, and at our Inpatient Unit in Dorchester. All care is provided free of charge and mainly funded by the continued support of our local community, via fundraising initiatives and events, our retail chain, and gifts left in wills, enabling us to raise the £27,500 we need every day to keep our services going.

Ensuring that we attract the right applicants with the right skills at the right time in order to support the charities strategy.

Proactively engaging with managers and People Services Business Partners to determine recruitment needs and how best to address them

Reviewing job adverts to ensure they attract the best talent in line with employment legislation and Weldmars guidelines

Working with People Services Assistant(s) ensuring an excellent end to end candidate experience including on-boarding all successful applicants efficiently, increasingly enabling this through technology as it develops

Maximising the potential of digital recruitment including back office solutions

Work closely with People Business Partners to develop resourcing plans that reflect workforce needs (short and long term) and translate these into coherent resourcing schedules

To be in tune with the employment market and understand supply, demand and trends in recruitment, employee benefits and any other approaches of interest to Weldmar

Influence and support employment branding initiatives including front end materials, website development etc

Research, organise and/or attend recruitment fairs, assessment centres or other events that present Weldmar as an employer of choice

Create and sustain effective partnerships with Schools, Colleges, Universities and other organisations to enable potential pathways into Weldmar employment

Develop a set of metrics to support the measurement of recruitment success across the organisation, and as a result recommend interventions where necessary.
