About us
Alliance
for Better Care CIC (ABC) is a GP Federation representing 77 NHS GP practices
across 24 Primary Care Networks in Sussex and Surrey. We support our Primary
Care colleagues, as well as their patients, to transform how healthcare is
delivered within the community.
A central pillar of our work is Inclusion Health. Our Inclusion Health
portfolio brings together services focused on improving access for communities
who experience disadvantage or exclusion, including our dedicated work
supporting the Veterans and Armed Forces community. Across these services, ABC
embeds trauma-informed practice, care navigation and advocacy ensuring
individuals and families are supported to understand pathways, navigate complex
systems and access appropriate care.
ABC delivers targeted support for veterans, reservists, serving personnel and
their families across Sussex, Kent and Medway. Our approach combines
personalised care navigation, advocacy and system coordination, helping
individuals overcome barriers linked to military service and transition. We
work closely with GP practices, NHS Trusts, Armed Forces Champions, secondary
care providers and voluntary sector partners to strengthen recognition of Armed
Forces families within primary care and promote coordinated support across
systems.
Further information about our Armed Forces work can be found here: Armed Forces Community | Alliance for Better Care.
