Job summary

Alliance for Better Care (ABC) is a GP Federation uniting 77 NHS GP member practices across 98 sites within 24 Primary Care Networks in Sussex and Surrey. We support our Primary Care colleagues - and their patients - to transform how healthcare is delivered in their communities.

We work closely with GP Practices, PCNs, Hospitals, Community Organisations, and the Third Sector. These vital partnerships enable us to deliver a truly integrated approach that offers the support and expertise needed to effectively serve our populations.

We are seeking an experienced Nurse Educator to join our vibrant and forward-thinking team.

The role is available on a fixed-term 12 month contract and will involve hybrid working (home working with occasional travel needed across Surrey and Sussex).

Main duties of the job

This role supports excellence in General Practice nursing by developing clear pathways for nurses and Nursing Associates, including apprenticeships, and strengthening networks that reduce isolation and build a community of practice.

The successful canididate will promote the Nursing Associate role, expand preregistration activity through innovative placement models, and work with universities and placement providers.

The post supports practicebased educators, newly registered nurses, and those new to primary care and involves delivering clinical teaching and assessment for Student Nursing Associates and contribute to ongoing development for Nursing Associates.

Using feedback to enhance student experience and workforce planning, the post-holder will also help create resources for primary care employers and nonregistered staff, including guidance on career pathways.
