Main duties of the job
To thrive in this role, you will have a strong background in mental health or working with children and young people, with relevant qualifications such as a Diploma in Youth Work, Social Work, Psychology, or an accredited counselling qualification.
Essential qualifications and skills:
- Experience in developing and delivering high-quality training for professionals, including education staff
- Proven ability to facilitate individual and group work with children, young people, or young adults
- Expertise in inter-agency and multi-disciplinary collaboration
- Strong background in working with mental health and well-being needs
- In-depth understanding of safeguarding principles, legislation, and confidentiality
- Knowledge of Gillick competency and mental capacity in relation to children and young people
- Proficiency in psychosocial interventions and evidence-based digital interventions
- Excellent communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to engage with children, families, and professionals
A coaching qualification is also desirable.Additionally, you will have a positive, flexible attitude, able to work under pressure, adapt to changing priorities, and stay committed to professional development.
