Job summary

Are you looking for a role where you can make a real difference to the lives of children and young people?

We are looking for an experienced Senior Administrator with extensive experience in and knowledge of the use of data and information systems to support the new Mental Health Support Teams in Birmingham. You will have all the skills of a senior administrator alongside the developed ability to input, store, retrieve, analyse and report on data from a client management information system.

Working alongside the Team Leaders and Service Manager will have responsibility for establishing integrated management information and administrative systems across the whole service including how information is recorded, collected, used, stored and analysed to ensure that services are aligned to best meet local needs. Based in Birmingham the post will work with and support delivery of services to children, young people and families in North/North East of the City.

The post holder directly manages the Senior Administrator and oversees the direction and support to the administration team providing for high quality, efficient and effective administrative functions.

There may be some infrequent requirement to travel between our sites, schools and partner agencies.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will provide leadership, expert data systems knowledge and professional information, advice and support to skill mix teams to develop, deliver and maintain effective and standardised information and excellent customer focused care across service.

Key responsibilities and duties will include:

  • Ensuring excellent customer focused care and services to the public
  • Establishing cohesive Information Systems
  • Oversight of administrative standard operating procedures
  • Integration of Management Information Systems
  • Development and delivery of digital services
  • Design and delivery of activity and performance dashboard reports.

You must possess a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. A basic level DBS check is required for this role.

Qualifications

Essential

  • English Language and Maths - GCSE A C or equivalent qualification
  • NVQ level 3 Business Administration or equivalent
  • Level 3 IT Qualification/Training in Word, Excel and Microsoft Office Packages or equivalent experience

Experience

Essential

  • Experience in dealing with phone calls and email enquiries
  • Experience of inputting and producing statistical data and reports on databases and spreadsheets
  • Experience in Microsoft Office Packages, Word, Powerpoint, and Excel
  • Experience in providing support to others based in different locations
  • Working in a busy office environment where multi-tasking is essential
  • Organising, attending and taking minutes of meetings, producing reports, managing and analysing data and service user records
  • Liaising with clients/customers via the telephone, email and in person in a busy customer service environment.
  • Experience of managing and supervising others within a team
