The Assistant Education Mental Health Practitioner is an active member of the team working with others to support the delivery of mental health and emotional wellbeing activities and to deliver positive outcomes for children and young people (aged 5-19 years) and their families.
The post holder will support, maintain and deliver the digital cognitive behaviour therapy intervention, Silvercloud, to children and young people across the borough. The post holder will support the team in delivering the Whole School Approach interventions.
Main duties of the job
To succeed in this post, you will have an appropriate qualification such as BTEC higher diploma or foundation degree (Assistant Practitioner) or equivalent skills/knowledge and experience. Your experience will include at least one year of working with children, young people, and their families in delivering mental health and/or emotional wellbeing advice and support services.
A knowledge and good understanding of how children and young people are impacted by mental health and emotional wellbeing issues and how services support children and young people to develop the skills and strategies to reduce the negative effects of such issues as low mood, anxiety, or stress.
You will be a team player, able to use your strengths in establishing positive professional relationships to cooperate and work with others in the team and other organisations. Being highly motivated, flexible, and able to work without direct supervision you will be confident in your practice and also in knowing when to seek advice or support.
You must possess a full driving licence and have access to your own transport.
