St Richards Hospice is seeking an exceptional Senior Staff Nurse to join our dedicated Advice & Guidance and Rapid Response Teams.

This is a vital role within our service, supporting patients and families in their homes and through our hospice-based support line. The position includes lone working during weekends and bank holidays as part of a team rota, offering autonomy within a highly supportive and collaborative environment.

You will

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care in patients homes as part of the Rapid Response team.
  • Work within theAdvice & Guidance service, managing new referrals and providing clinical advice and emotional support to patients, families, and healthcare professionals over the telephone.
  • Coordinate and develop individualised care plans and ensure seamless care delivery.
  • Work effectively within amulti-disciplinary team (MDT)and delegate appropriately to Senior Health Care Assistants (SHCAs).

This post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check.

Main duties of the job

We are looking for:

  • ARegistered Nursewith post-registration experience.
  • Ideally experienced incommunity and/or palliative care.
  • A nurse who is flexible, calm under pressure, and well-organised.
  • A compassionate individual with excellentcommunication and delegation skills.
  • Someone who thrives in acollaborative environmentbut can also work independently, especially during lone weekend shifts.
  • Driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential for work purposes.
