Parenting Programmes Facilitator (Bank) Clinical/Counselling Psychologist, Adult or Child and Adolescent Psychotherapist, CAMHS Clinician

N.B. This is a remote, sessional role (minimum termly commitment).

We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and engaging sessional clinicians to facilitate our well-established online parenting groups for parents and carers of children aged 5-16, including those with neurodevelopmental presentations such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD), ADHD, and behavioural challenges. These structured groups, delivered over six sessions, support parents in building practical skills, sharing experiences, and feeling connected as they navigate the complexities of parenting through developmental transitions and shifting family dynamics. They also offer a valuable space for mutual support and connection.

Clinicians will deliver sessions using existing programme materials and frameworks, maintaining fidelity to the model while bringing warmth, flexibility, and clinical insight to each group.

  • You can choose to facilitate parenting groups for:

    • parents of primary school-aged children (5-11) with ADHD,

    • parents of secondary school-aged children (12-16) presenting with adolescent behavioural challenges,

    • or both, depending on interest and experience.

Main duties of the job

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Facilitate weekly/biweekly parenting group sessions

  • Create a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants

  • Use existing curriculum and materials to guide discussions and skill-building activities

  • Monitor group dynamics and provide support to parents with a variety of needs

  • Maintain clear and confidential session notes in accordance with organisational policies

  • Engage with the broader team (e.g. Parenting Programmes Lead) as needed

  • Identify any concerns or safeguarding risks and follow organisational protocols for escalation

  • Participate in training, debriefing, and fortnightly meetings as required
