Main duties of the job
Be part of something
brilliant at Home Group and join us as our Senior Occupational Therapist, where
clinical interventions work hand in hand with daily support.
Youll be
supporting customers in our brand new service which provides support to 5
adults with Learning Disabilities and a range of complex needs. This will
include the assessment and management of a range of complex occupational
performance needs. Youll embed an active support culture within the service
and work with both customers and colleagues on skills development programmes,
supporting customers to achieve their goals through engagement in meaningful
and purposeful everyday activities. Youll develop person centred plans,
working closely with our support workers to deliver personalised interventions
and regularly review customer progress. You will work closely with the
registered manager to support the development of the service and contribute to
multi-disciplinary meetings with external stakeholders.
Youll be
joining an established national team of occupational therapists and will have
opportunities to participate within the wider OT workforce, influencing the
evolution of occupational therapy within the organisation, and developing both
your practice and career.
About us
On a
day-to-day basis, youll report to our Operations Manager, Sophie Warren.Our
Clinical Practice team will provide support and clinical supervision will come
from Viki, our OT Clinical Expert. You'll work closely with the registered
manager. To us were not just a team were a work family. We dont just love

- As an experienced clinician, support and develop our teams to maximise customer independence and improve outcomes.
- Youll lead on the assessment and management of a range of complex occupational therapy needs, providing clinical advice to our colleagues on the day-to-day support customers need.
- Youll work closely with our support team to deliver personalised interventions and support plans.
- Youll identify where skills development is required so our customers can achieve their goals through everyday activities.
- Enhance colleagues knowledge and skills, promoting regular, honest and supportive feedback.
- Liaise, or assist support staff with liaising, with external professionals when needed, using your expertise to ensure our customers receive the support they require in an effective multi-disciplinary way.
- Be a point of contact for individual support and coaching of colleagues in our services.
- Provide input where required in service improvements and audits.
- Theres no red tape or mounds of paperwork here!

Essential
- Youll hold current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the HCPC.
Desirable
- Experience of working with a range of vulnerable people who have complex needs which impact on their function. These may include learning disabilities, mental health or autistic spectrum disorder.
