Job summary
We are looking for an experienced administrator preferably with some knowledge of working within a multi-disciplinary team with an awareness of disabilities, medical conditions and learning difficulties. However, consideration will be made for anyone with a passion on the impact that disability and medical conditions have on a persons life.
This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a well-established team based in Carshalton.
This role is subject to satisfactory pre-employment checks which will include an Enhanced with children and adults barred list check by the DBS (at the cost of QEF if you are not already a member of The Update Service).

Main duties of the job
To contribute to an efficient operation of daily administration to support a client centred practice. To provide a central point of contact for the delivery of wheelchair and scooter assessments and Tryb4uFly assessments and the management of associated equipment. To work alongside the clinical therapists who carry out wheelchair passports providing administrative support where needed. To be professional and courteous in all communications and interactions with clients and visitors, staff,contractors and volunteers. Maximise appointments to ensure that availability of assessment teams is fully utilised. Ensure accuracy and efficiency in all processes. Answering the telephone and responding to emails, providing assistance, advice and information on mobility related enquiries and signposting people to alternative sources. This role gives you the opportunity to work closely with a small multi-disciplinary team and engage with a wide range of clients.

Administer and organise all the processes of client wheelchair and scooter assessments, from setting up of files and liaising with clinical staff, writing accurate and well-presented confidential reports through to final stages of despatch.
Conduct a practical trial of product suitability for the clients medical, physical and lifestyle needs, to recommend the most suitable wheelchair or mobility scooter and advise on vehicle stowage options and transport requirements.
Provide advice to parents and clients for holiday and travel planning for airport accessibility and air transport requirements. Knowledge of the air industry and the relevant seating systems will be essential to be able to carry out these assessments.
Assist in the preparation and delivery of internal/external training for professionals and others and participate in the delivery of in-service training for staff.
Liaison with MNDA clinical therapists to provide administrative support.
Administration of equipment hire, liaison with clients, from initial enquiry through to hire.
Maintenance of equipment hire products, wheelchair and scooter servicing and associated administration.
Provide relevant and accurate information to callers and visitors, ensuring that the information system is maintained and developed.
Maintain client confidentiality and client database, in line with the UK Data Protection Act, GDPR and Centre policies.
