Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic Salaried GP to join our team at Seymour Medical Centre based in Leyton.

We serve a practice population of 7000 patients from a varied demographic in a rapidly developing part of London.

Main duties of the job

To deliver high-quality clinical care to patients within Seymour Medical Centre, serving a practice population of 7000 patients from a varied demographic in a rapidly developing part of London.

Work collaboratively as part of the Seymour Medical Centre team, taking responsibility for patient care and supporting the practice's role within the community.

We are a private limited company who provides NHS Services based in Primary Care, pooling the skills and resources of local GPs to provide large scale services as part of the local NHS Strategy to bring more services into the Community to help people stay well and at home.

Job description

Job responsibilities

  • Provide clinical care to patients through face-to-face and telephone consultations, including managing workflow (correspondence, results, medication reviews, reports, and clinical administration).
  • Engage in safeguarding work, outreach visits, surgery meetings, and occasional on-call duties.
  • Adhere to GMC standards, prioritising individual patient care.
  • Support the development, delivery, and review of the surgery action plan in collaboration with the Practice Manager and Clinical Lead. This includes list management, patient satisfaction, QOF, enhanced services, and KPI targets.
  • Work closely with the surgery team, participating in practice team meetings.
  • Participate in outreach activities as required.
  • Maintain ongoing Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to stay updated on clinical developments and meet broader workforce requirements.
  • Keep personal mandatory and organisational training up to date.
  • Engage in NHS annual appraisal, produce Personal Development Plans (PDP), and undergo GMC revalidation.
  • Document and report significant clinical governance events to the Clinical Lead or Practice Manager.
  • Uphold professional standards and act as an ambassador for Seymour Medical Centre.
