Location: Coventry and Warwickshire
Salary: £26,000 £29,000 FTE (depending on relevant qualification and experience)
Hours: 22 hours worked over 3 days.

About the role:
Space 2 Thrive has recently received up to four-years of funding to build on its success and further shape its blended support provision, allowing us to expand our reach and impact in the community.
Our practitioners are committed to creating a trauma-informed environment for survivors of domestic abuse through:
- Creating a space where users can feel heard, understood, and empowered to manage and overcome their experiences to move forward with their goals and aspirations.
- Offering psychological wellbeing and navigation support, as well as evidence-based trauma therapy, to adults who have experienced domestic abuse trauma, be it a single incident or multiple occurrences.
- Addressing additional concerns like depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, social phobias, and more.
Key responsibilities:
- Undertake trauma focused and person-centred assessments to identify therapeutic and support needs and decide upon the appropriate and relevant therapeutic intervention for the adult.
- Ensure the survivors voice is central to the therapy agreement by collaborating to create personalised support plans and future goals.
- Deliver short-term, evidence-based therapy to adults with PTSD or trauma symptoms, incorporating Trauma-Focused CBT and other appropriate modalities and approaches.
- Manage a fixed 1:1 caseload with support from management and clinical supervision.
- Support the design and delivery of structured psychoeducational group work activities within various community settings.
- Keep and maintain records of therapy sessions, assessments, reviews, meetings, in accordance with Coventry and Warwickshire Minds confidentiality policy, and GDPR data protection policies and procedures.
- Adhere to the organisations policies and procedures, including but not limited to safeguarding adults and children and young people, confidentiality, and data protection policies.
Essential requirements:
- A recognised professional qualification at Level 4 in Counselling or Psychotherapy, plus at least one year of post-qualification experience.
- An ability to effectively engage with adults, and their families.
- A deep passion for supporting survivors of domestic abuse to empower themselves.
- Language specialisms are highly desired to reflect our diverse community.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, non-verbal and written.
- Able to use a computer and/or other electronic devices.
- Up to date knowledge of trauma, and trauma informed therapeutic interventions.
- Accredited and qualified Counsellor/Psychotherapist, and up to date registration and membership (BACP, UKPT, BABCP) or working towards accreditation.
- Trained and qualified to deliver CBT or TF-CBT.
- Must have access to a vehicle as means of transport.
- An ability to travel to venues across Coventry and Warwickshire.

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 (Exceptions) Order 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service to check for any previous criminal convictions.
