Job Title: Team Leader
Location: Coventry, Intensive Recovery Support Service
Salary:£25,000 per annum
Hours: Full time (37 hours per week may include occasional weekends/bank holidays if needed)
About The Role:
We are currently looking for a Team Leader to support the manager in leading a team of recovery support workers that provide practical and emotional person-centered support to service users based in the community and at our accommodation unit in Hillfields. The support offered by the service is aimed at empowerment and recovery, values equality and diversity and is proactively targeted to achieve levels of independence appropriate for each Service User.
To lead and delegate workloads to support staff and liaise with multi agencies for the welfare of all service users.
Key Responsibilities include:
- To deputise in the absence of the Deputy Manager/Manager.
- To lead and contribute towards the development of the Intensive recovery support service provision.
- To be responsible for the fair distribution and management of individual workers workloads inhouse and on the outreach.
- To assist in the induction, training, support and supervision of staff.
- To be responsible for the line management of designated staff, providing regular recorded supervision and annual appraisals.
- To ensure that services comply with relevant legislation and funding stream requirements e.g. Health & Safety, Risk Assessments, Lone Working and to assist the manager in ensuring that targets to meet requirements are set and achieved within services.
- To manage safeguarding and crisis situations in consultation with the staff team, in line with the procedures of Coventry and Warwickshire Mind.
- To enable residents to express their preferences and choices and to encourage independence and recovery wherever possible.
- Ensure active recording of client contacts on the organisations database and participate in ongoing monitoring and evaluation of the

Essential criteria includes:
- Experience of supporting in the delivery of mental health support services, including crisis intervention.
- Experience of monitoring and evaluation.
- Experience of working with volunteers.
- Experience of working with a wide range of agencies.
- Skilled in developing and delivering a person-centred approach to assess, plan and review an individuals needs.
- Good IT skills.
- Up to date knowledge of mental health and key issues linked to wellbeing.
- Commitment to service user involvement.
- Min NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
- Flexible approach to working evenings and weekends.
