Job summary
This
is an exciting opportunity for an experienced primary care nurse to help shape
a brand new service from the ground up.
This
new role will play a key part in the ensuring the continued delivery of excellent
care in Boltons primary care system, ensuring every HCSW, Nursing Associate, Trainee
Practice nurse is confident and competent in their ability to work in a person
centred, evidence based and compassionate way.
Main duties of the job
- To observe and to ensure candidates have been trained and assessed as competent andto sign off competency framework for staff in relation to various clinical roles.
- To ensure relevant documentation and administrative procedures are in place to support recording and reporting of data to the organisation and wider as needed
- Provide clinical supervision as required to other members of the team
- To create training plans and procedures to ensure delivery of training to the primary care workforce supporting programme across Bolton is implemented.
- Support the development of training content complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources and guides as needed.
- To ensure that primary care initiatives unique to Bolton are explained and understood by those on the programme
- To act as a role model for health care professionals entering primary care for the first time
- Participate in clinical and other audits as required.
- Attendance at relevant meetings.

is embedded into practice and helping in any areas where they may require extra

- Current NMC Registration
- Evidence of post registration training
- Clinical Skills including, Immunisation/Phlebotomy, Vaccination and cervical cytology
Desirable
- Non-Medical Prescriber V300
- Recognised Teaching Qualification
Experience
Essential
- 5 years post registration experience
- Experience of working in general practice
- Knowledge of Long-Term conditions
- Evidence of Teaching, Training and Clinical Supervision of staff including registered and non-registered
- Willingness to teach learners and promote evidence based practice
- Experience of implementing protocols and clinical guidelines
- Knowledge of clinical governance
- Experience of quality initiatives such as clinical benchmarking
- Knowledge of clinical audits
- Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills
