Job summary
Katharine House Hospice offer the best care so that people in our community, affected by progressive illnesses, can live their lives to the full.
We are looking for a number of complementary therapists who can offer a variety of treatments to our patients and families. We have a purpose-built therapy room situated in or Therapy and Wellbeing Centre. Our aim is to improve quality of life by providing support and specialist care.
We are seeking a motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent standards of patient care and outstanding communication skills to join us and be part of our team.
You must have a degree or diploma in a Complementary Therapy practice. Applicants must have at least one years experience working in Therapy post qualification, and be able to provide evidence of qualifications and current membership of an approved professional governing body.
Katharine House Hospice provides ongoing support with professional development. We are also able to provide access to the NHS pension scheme if you are currently an existing member. Please note an enhanced DBS clearance will be required for this role.

Main duties of the job
The Complementary Therapist will work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team in providing the highest standards of care to patients and their main carers. The Complementary Therapist will deliver Complementary Therapies in the hospice and community setting, to people with advanced life limiting conditions, and their primary carer. They will also support Complementary Therapy volunteers in the hospice.
