Job responsibilities

To work within a team of therapists and volunteers and to provide high quality therapies to every family member in the family home and at the two Hospices, when required On receipt of your referrals, assess, plan and deliver high quality Complementary Therapy sessions to families Maintain accurate records of interactions and communications with families on the case management systems. Work with your Line Manager to meet the requirements of the relevant regulatory bodies e.g. Care Quality Commission. Maintain accurate records of methods, evidence of policies and the monitoring of procedures for inspection.

Person Specification

Qualifications

Essential

• The successful candidate will have need to have a Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology and be qualified in Massage plus one other of the following Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki and Mindfulness.

Experience

Essential

• A current Liability Insurance Certificate plus membership of a professional therapist body is also a requirement. In addition you will have a minimum of three year experience and of working with children with complex needs and be willing to visit families within their own homes to provide therapy treatments in a calm and professional manner.

• To meet the care needs of our children and young people, flexibility will be required. Our service runs seven days a week and so hours worked will include evenings, weekends and school holidays. .A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential; and all positions are subject to a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check.
