Job summary
Julia's House is a registered charity
which provides support for children with life-limiting/life threatening
conditions and their families. Julias House has hospices in Corfe Mullen,
Doset and Devizes, Wiltshire.
Our Therapists carry out a vital role in the organisation by providing Complementary Therapy treatments within the hospice and in the family home to all members of the family. The successful candidate will work as part of the Complementary Therapy Team and wider Family Support Team, in conjunction with a team of volunteers.On receipt of referrals you will assess and plan the delivery of high quality Complementary Therapy sessions to the families.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will have need to have a Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology and be qualified in Massage plus one other of the following:
Aromatherapy, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, Reiki and Mindfulness.
A current Liability Insurance Certificate plus membership of a professional therapist body is also a requirement.
In
addition you will have a minimum of three year experience and of working with
children with complex needs and be willing to visit families within their own
homes to provide therapy treatments in a calm and professional manner. Please see our Person Specification and

About us
This role will primarily be based in at
our Devizes hospice, but with an expectation to cover Dorset during
absences and to attend meetings at various locations as required.
A full driving licence and use of a car for business purposes are essential. Flexibility in working hours will also be required in this role.
