If youre looking for a varied role where you can help shape and enhance pharmacy and medicines optimisation services, wed love to hear from you!Were looking for a motivated and detail-oriented pharmacy technician to work in our Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Team in supporting the delivery our pharmacy and medicines optimisation programme.In this key role, youll work across our adult mental health social care and substance use services with regional and national leads, service directors, and frontline teams to ensure safe, effective, and innovative care that meets regulatory standards. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact within a forward-thinking and collaborative team.Join us at Waythrough and you'll work alongside a fantastic multi-disciplinary team of pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, doctors, nurses, psychologists and recovery coordinators to provide person centred support to people who use our services. Your role will involve working alongside our Director of Pharmacy, National Pharmacy Technician and Regional Lead Pharmacist to deliver a wide range of interventions to support the people we work with.
Main duties of the job
- Working with the Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Team in conjunction with the Regional/National Leads and Clinical Service Leads in developing and delivering clinically safe and effective services, ensuring compliance with statutory, regulatory and professional bodies' requirements
- Contributing to the development of clinical policies and procedures by supporting working parties, delivering staff training and communicating and implementing at regional/service level.
- Analysis of data sets (national and organisational) and making subsequent recommendations (with support from the Pharmacy and Medicines Optimisation Team) in line with best practice guidelines and Waythrough policies and procedures
- Supporting the development and implementation of action plans following service audits for achieving and maintaining performance targets and KPIs and appropriate quality standards.
- Supporting the provision of pharmacy and medicines advice to our substance use and adult mental health social care services
- Working with people who use our services to ensure that co-production is an essential element in the delivery of pharmacy and medicines optimisation services
About us
With a current General Pharmaceutical Council registration, you'll be able to show relevant current or past experience working in a medicines optimisation team at the primary or secondary care interface or within an organisation providing services to people who use drugs and/or alcohol and/or adult mental health social care providers.General Pharmaceutical Council Fees will be covered, and you will have access to 10% CPD (Continued Professional Development time) with clinical supervision.
