As a Practitioner Psychologist, youll step into a key leadership role within our dual-diagnosis IRT teamproviding psychological expertise and supporting our dedicated teams working with people experiencing problem substance use and co-occurring mental health challenges.
Main duties of the job
You will:
- Deliver direct psychological support, including trauma-informed interventions and specialist assessments.
- Guide Recovery Navigators and Mental Health & Wellbeing Practitioners through complex cases.
- Provide group supervision and reflective practice across our community, HOPE, and criminal justice teams.
- Lead and co-create training sessions, workshops, and therapeutic groups.
- Influence and innovateembedding trauma-informed practices and representing the service at local and national forums.
Requirements
- Doctorate or equivalent in Clinical, Counselling, Forensic, or Health Psychology or a postgraduate qualification in CBT, Psychotherapy, Psychodynamic or Systemic Therapy.
- HCPC registration (for psychologists) or accreditation with a PSA-accredited body (e.g., BACP, UKCP).
- Experience delivering specialist psychological assessments and trauma-responsive care.
- Strong background in working therapeutically with people who use drugs and alcohol.
- Skilled in facilitating training, workshops, or reflective practice groups.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
