About the Role

We are seeking a qualified Independent Prescriber to deliver clinical and prescribing services within our Criminal Justice drug and alcohol service at Waythrough.

You will provide evidence-based treatment, including prescribing (including controlled drugs), clinical assessments, and recovery-focused care across hub and outreach settings. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, youll support individuals with complex needs, ensuring safe, effective and person-centred interventions in line with national guidance and clinical governance standards.

Main duties of the job

Key Duties

  • Undertake clinical assessments and prescribe in line with best practice.

  • Develop and review person-centred care plans.

  • Deliver BBV testing, immunisation (including Hep B) and harm reduction interventions.

  • Liaise with pharmacists and GPs to support shared care arrangements.

  • Maintain accurate clinical records and contribute to audit and governance processes.

  • Participate in CPD, supervision and service improvement activities.
