Team Leader - Wellbeing Services. 22.5hrs per week.
Job summary: the post holder is expected to:
- To have overall responsibility for the leadership and co-ordination of the Wellbeing services, including the Complementary Therapy service.
- To serve as an inspirational leader and ambassador of the hospice in all interactions both within the organisation and with external stakeholders.
- Deliver high-quality, evidence-based holistic palliative care to patients and their families, ensuring all care is provided with compassion, dignity, and respect.
- Ensure services are delivered safely, efficiently, and effectively by supporting a well-trained and competent workforce, with appropriate monitoring of outcomes and quality standards.
- Actively contribute to the ongoing development and improvement of clinical services across the organisation.
- Partake in the out of hours on-call rota.
- Work across the clinical services, including Hospice at Home when required, to ensure service delivery.
Main duties of the job
The Wellbeing Team Leader is responsible for leading the delivery of holistic, rehabilitative, and complementary therapy services, ensuring care aligns with professional standards and best practice.
The role oversees planning, delivery, and evaluation of evidence based care, coordinating closely with the multidisciplinary team to support patients and families.
Responsibilities include conducting and supervising holistic assessments, developing and reviewing personalised care plans, and leading group sessions and therapeutic programmes.
The post holder will facilitate timely ACP and ACMP discussions and ensure patients receive the right care at the right time.
They will support the development of the service as a community hub within the Rossendale Valley, foster effective internal and external relationships, and model excellent communication and compassionate leadership.

- To plan, co-ordinate, and lead Wellbeing services (employees, volunteers and students) and resources
- Work closely with the Clinical Services Manager and Hospice at Home Team Leader in ensuring that all clinical staff and volunteers deliver high levels of service and care at all times
- Liaise effectively with the multidisciplinary team within both the Hospice and community settings, including the Palliative Care Consultant, District Nurses, Social Workers, GPs, and other relevant agencies involved in patient care, to ensure coordinated and seamless support.
- Accept accountability for own actions and designated areas of responsibility, demonstrating professionalism and integrity in all aspects of practice.
