The
Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service (MCISS) provides a
comprehensive Cancer Information and Support Service to Bolton residents, so
that anyone who is affected by cancer has access to the information they need
and are supported appropriately. We are currently seeking to appoint an
enthusiastic and proactive Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service
Deputy Manager to join our successful MCISS team.
Part Time 18.75 hours per week
(3 days one week, 2 the next, alternate Wednesdays and every Thursday
Friday, will need to be flexible to cover holidays & sickness on
Mondays)
Actual Salary - £17,695-£21,309 per annum (WTE £35,392 - £42,618)

We are looking to appoint a dynamic, caring, organised and motivated Deputy Manager to support the smooth & safe running of the award-winning Bolton Macmillan Cancer Information & Support Service (MCISS). This is a rare and exciting opportunity to become part of a specialist person-centred Service. The role is based across 3 sites in Bolton, Royal Bolton Hospital, Bolton One and Giles House at Bolton Hospice, working within our Macmillan Information and Support Centres.
First and foremost, we are looking for someone who has experience of the direct delivery and management of service user facing services and experience of managing staff and volunteers. You must have knowledge of cancer care, treatments, and services locally and Greater Manchester wide, have a good understanding of the importance of service user involvement. You will need to be educated to degree level or equivalent and have recent experience working as a registered professional in a relevant field, preferably a cancer one. You will also need highly developed interpersonal skills to create effective working relationships, liaising with oncology teams within the Hospital and local services within the community.

Essential
- Educated to degree level in relevant subject or equivalent level of experience of working at a similar level in specialist area.
- Experience of working as a Medical Professional. Recent registration with professional body, NMC HCPC
