Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and highly motivated Registered Nurse to join our supportive, professional team within the Inpatient Unit at Bolton Hospice. This will be a challenging and rewarding opportunity for anyone wishing to further develop their nursing skills and knowledge within specialist palliative care. Team Bolton Hospice is friendly, motivated and committed to providing high quality, expert specialist palliative and end of life care to the people of Bolton.
Part Time 34.5 hours per week
Staff Nurse - £28,407 - £30,639 WTE per annum (Actual Salary £26,134 - £28,187)
Senior Staff Nurse - £30,639 - £34,581 WTE per annum (Actual Salary £28,187 - £31,814)
Unsocial hours enhancements paid in addition.
Staff can transition to senior staff nurse on successful completion of competencies within set time-frame
The role covers a 24 hour, 7 day service and will therefore include weekends and rotation to night duty.
Long day shifts and night shifts would be expected.
Main duties of the job
Working as part of the wider multi-disciplinary team, you will support patients with complex clinical needs and provide hands-on, person-centred care. Our staff strive to provide the highest quality of service for our patients and their families and carers, through a collaborative team approach.
To apply, you must be a Registered General Nurse, who is enthusiastic and flexible with a passion for specialist palliative and end of life care. A recognised post-registration palliative care qualification is desirable, although you will be fully supported in the role if you have limited or no experience with the specialty. You will have access to a range of training and development opportunities and be welcomed as a valued member of an experienced and supportive team.
