Job summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Practice Nurse to join our healthcare team. This role is for a fixed term and is to support the practice during a period of long term-sickness and phased return to work.
This is for a role that is 15 hours per week, and we are looking for the successful applicant to be working on a Tuesday and Friday. Whilst consideration will be given to alternative working days, there is no guarantee that we will be able to offer any working days except the 2 listed.
The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care, assisting with clinical procedures, and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
This position requires a strong commitment to patient welfare and an understanding of medical practices and procedures.
Main duties of the job
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive patient care, including conducting health assessments.
- Health-promotion and well-being, including the management and treatment of long-term conditions.
- Assist in the administration of vaccinations, injections, and other medical treatments as prescribed.
- Review medication for effectiveness as well as supporting adherence to the prescribed treatment.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
- Educate patients on health management, disease prevention, and wellness practices.
- Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance clinical skills.
- Supporting with QOF targets
Due to the nature of the role, we are ideally looking for an applicant that has training and experience in respiratory/spirometry.
About us
Hinckley and Bosworth Medical Alliance is a GP Federation that supports 12 GP practices across the Hinckley and Bosworth locality, which form 3 Primary Care Networks.
We also hold the APMS Contract for The Centre Surgery, which is where this role is being recruited for.
We employ in excess of 45 PCN staff across a number of clinical grades, and continue to grow. At The Centre Surgery, we currently employ in excess of 15 people with several more due to join the practice in the coming months.
