Come and work for a successful NHS Talking Therapies service with an
excellent reputation for delivering high quality patient care and consistently
high recovery rates. You will be employed by Richmond Borough Mind which runs
the Step 2 element of the Richmond NHS Talking Therapies Service, led by South-West London and St.
Georges Mental Health NHS Trust (SWLStG). We are
an established Low Intensity Talking Therapies service with an excellent
reputation, scoring highly in the London recovery figures. We work closely with
our Step 3 High Intensity colleagues in this co-located service in Twickenham.
RB Mind and SWLStG are making a positive
difference to thousands of people's lives, providing support so that they can
fulfil their potential and enjoy healthy lives.
The role will involve a mix of remote and hybrid working, however this
may change depending on service needs. Please note that all staff would need to
come in person to manage equipment, for client work and for occasional
meetings.
Interviews for this role will be held the week commencing 8th September 2025.
Main duties of the job
Qualified in Low Intensity work, with the recognised low-intensity CBT
qualification, you will be enthusiastic, self-motivated and able to meet the
demands of a challenging but rewarding role. The opportunity to train as a
supervising PWP could be open to suitably experienced PWPs. You will be
managing your own caseload through delivering workshops, offering CCBT and individual
guided self-help. Regular clinical supervision will be provided by the Clinical
or Service lead, in addition to regular line management and training
opportunities.

within the service, involving learning and outreach with opportunities to get
involved in service quality improvement projects. For personal development you

About us
You will be working with a team of dynamic, dedicated and committed Senior
PWPs, PWPs and Trainees and be part of successful teams at both RB Mind and our
partners, South
West London and St. Georges Mental Health NHS Trust. Many of our PWPs have gone on to High Intensity
training within the service.
Based near central Twickenham you will be part home-based and you will
be expected to work one evening per week. You will be able to travel throughout
the Borough of Richmond to ensure that our service is responsive to the needs
of all communities in Richmond.

The treatment interventions support clinical improvement, recovery and social inclusion focused on maintaining employment, returning to the labour market and taking up training opportunities.
Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners contribute to this by delivering evidence-based low-intensity psychological treatments, complemented by information, advice and signposting. The main focus of the service is the provision of psycho-educational groups, alongside interventions including guided self-help and computerised cognitive behavioural therapy (cCBT), links into employment, training and benefits support.
Low Intensity treatment interventions are delivered within prescribed time limits through face-to-face, telephone and video call. Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners are expected to operate in a stepped-care high volume environment carrying a large caseload and to manage their time to maximise the number of clients they can support.
