Join the Fundraising Team at Barnsley Hospice and help make a lasting difference to people living with life-limiting illness and those close to them.
We are looking for a motivated and compassionate Individual Giving Fundraiser to help grow and develop some of our most important income streams, including Legacy Giving, Regular Giving, In Memory donations and our Lottery. In this role, you will plan and deliver inspiring fundraising campaigns, build meaningful relationships with supporters, and help ensure they feel valued, informed and connected to the hospice.
Working closely with colleagues across Fundraising, Marketing and Care teams, you will develop engaging supporter journeys, create compassionate campaign messaging and help maximise long-term support for the hospice.

Main duties of the job
As Individual Giving Fundraiser at Barnsley Hospice, you will play a key role in developing and delivering fundraising campaigns that inspire individuals to support the hospice.
You will help grow income from Legacy Giving, Regular Giving, In Memory donations and the hospice Lottery by building strong, lasting relationships with supporters across the community. This includes planning and delivering campaigns, developing engaging supporter journeys and ensuring supporters feel valued and connected to the difference their support makes.
Working closely with colleagues in the Fundraising, Marketing and Care teams, you will help create compassionate and compelling communications that encourage people to give and continue supporting the hospice over time.
You will also use our CRM system to manage supporter information, track engagement and analyse campaign performance, helping to identify opportunities to strengthen supporter relationships and maximise fundraising income.
This role also includes representing Barnsley Hospice at community events and supporting wider fundraising activities that help sustain our vital specialist care services.

- Good understanding of the legacy and gift in wills process in the UK
- At least 2 years experience in individual giving fundraising or similar role
- Proven track record of stewarding supporters and managing pledges
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to audiences
- Experience providing excellent customer and supporter experience
- Proficiency in tailoring engagement tools to supporter preferences (letters, emails, phone)
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Sound understanding of relevant fundraising legislation
