Job summary

To maintain a high standard of palliative nursing care and to develop clinical expertise in symptom control.

To participate in integrated working across all Patient Services departments, with flexibility as needed to ensure effective service delivery in all areas.

Supervise, teach and develop junior staff and contribute to the development of Patient Services.

Can you provide support, comfort and dignity to patients and their relatives during challenging times?

If this sounds like you, Saint Catherine’s Hospice is seeking skilled and patient centred Staff Nurses, part and full time, to join our team.

Our Executive Team, led by the CEO who joined Saint Catherine’s Hospice in March 2023, have spent a considerable amount of time looking at how we as a Hospice are fit for the future. Our main commitment is and always will be, providing the best possible care and quality of life for those with life limiting illnesses. We are starting the year with a new approach in how we are achieving our goals and ultimately enhancing the services we provide. Therefore, in the run up to our 40th year we are excited to be advertising a number of roles to join our growing team.

The Role:

As a Staff Nurse you will provide compassionate and expert nursing care to patients within our In-Patient Unit, continuously offering support to our patients, families and team members whilst demonstrating positive and realistic attitudes towards people facing a life limiting illness, ensuring their specific needs are met.

About You:

You must:

  • Be a qualified Registered Nurse with a current and valid registration.
  • Have the ability to deliver high quality nursing care
  • Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Love what you do and be committed to providing the best possible service at all times
