About us:
At
Bluebell Wood Childrens Hospice we care for children and young adults with
life-shortening and life-threatening conditions. We are support around 300
families both in our hospice and in their homes.
Our
support services are wide ranging and bespoke to each family, including end of
life care, symptom management, Post death care,
Planned short breaks, counselling, sibling support groups, music
therapy, Phsyiotherapy and much much more. We work with staffing ratios
that allow us to deliver a high quality, holistic model of care which is
tailored for each child and family.
We are currently seekingchildrens nurses with post registration experience, who want to be part of our in house Care team.You will be working as part of a supportive team consisting ofNurses,Nurse Associates,care support workers and allied health professionals.Working as part of a team you will provide a high standard of holistic care and be able to balance opportunities for children to experience play, social interaction and learning alongside managing the diverse nursing needs of the children staying with us.If you are looking for a working environment where every day is different, where in addition to providing direct nursing care you could also be planning days out,visiting wildlife Park ,creating a undersea worldand having an ice cream in the garden then this could be for you!
Main duties of the job

looking for resilient, motivated and innovative individuals who want to deliver high quality,
evidence based paediatric palliative care.
From
1st April 2022 all direct care provision and/or close contact roles at Bluebell
Wood Children's Hospice require full COVID vaccination as a Condition of
Deployment. The role of Nurse falls into this
category.
The requirements:
To fulfil the role effectively you must be NMC registered, have 2
years post registration experience and be able to work flexibly and collaboratively
across the care services.
