Job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Healthcare
Worker to join our team, delivering Adult Physical Health Checks across
multiple clinic sites in Bedford, Luton, and Milton Keynes.We have 2
roles available for 20 hours per week with the expectation of covering one
Saturday clinic each month (half day only).
The successful candidate will be based at our Head Quarters
in Bedford; however, the role involves travelling to various clinic locations
across Bedford, Milton Keynes, and Luton to support the delivery of health
check clinics.
You must have excellent communication skills, be flexible,
and able to adapt to the needs of the service. The ability to work
independently and as part of a team is essential.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Travel across Bedford, Luton, and Milton Keynes to conduct adult physical health check reviews.
- Attend various clinic locations including GP practices, hospitals, workplaces, and other community settings.
- Maintainaccurate, clear, and comprehensive clinical records using SystmOne or other clinical systems.
- Complete required templateswithin the electronic patient recordand ensure all coding and patient information is recorded accurately and promptly.
- Carry out baseline clinical observations including blood pressure, height, weight, waist circumference, and pulse, and record findings accurately.
- Perform phlebotomy and point-of-care testingin accordance withtraining and clinical protocols.
- Promote healthy lifestyle choices and signpost patients toappropriate serviceswhererequired.
- Act as a chaperone andassistclinicians during examinations when necessary.
- Ensure all specimens are correctly labelled and prepared for transport in line with clinical guidelines.
- Maintain clinical areas, ensuring they are clean, stocked, and prepared for each clinic session.
- Dispose of clinical waste safely and manage sharps binsin accordance withInfection Prevention and Control policies.
- Support administration and nursing teams with clinic planning, appointment scheduling, and coordination.This could involve communication by telephone, email, letters etc.
- Work independently in lone working situations as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain strict patient confidentiality andalways adhere to data protection policies.
- Complete all mandatory training and induction requirements.
- Undertake anyadditionalduties appropriate to the role as requested by senior management.
