Job summary

Acorns Children's Hospice are now looking for a SystmOne Implementation Officer to support with the organisation-wide implementation and rollout of the SystmOne electronic patient record (EPR) system. This is a critical, project-based role responsible for providing high-level administrative, technical, and data support to the Care Data and Reporting Manager. You will be instrumental in configuring the system, ensuring data quality, and supporting end-user adoption across all care services. This is a temporary role for 12 months, working 30 hours per week. This may become a permanent role in future.

Main duties of the job

As SystmOne Implementation Officer, you will:

  • Work directly under the guidance of the Care Data and Reporting Manager to support all phases of the SystmOne implementation project.
  • Coordinate the mapping and migration of existing patient data from current administrative systems into SystmOne, ensuring data integrity and accuracy throughout the transition.
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including user guides, FAQs, and quick-reference sheets specifically tailored to Acorns workflows.
  • Provide on-the-ground support during and immediately following the SystmOne "Go-Live" phase, acting as a super-user to help staff troubleshoot and navigate the new system.
  • Act as the NHS Local Administrator for NHS.net accounts, creating and managing all NHSmail accounts

About You

  • Proven experience in a technical or clinical administrative role within a healthcare or hospice environment.
  • Experience in a project support role, particularly involving IT or system implementation.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to quickly understand and configure new software systems
  • High degree of accuracy and meticulous attention to detail, particularly when handling patient data
  • Experience using SystmOne in a configuration, super-user, or training capacity would be advantageous.
