Allied Health Professional Team Lead

Job summary

Acorns Children's Hospice Trust are looking for an Allied Health Professional Lead to bring their unique AHP perspective, expertise and experience on health and care issues to underpin the work across the Acorns sites and integrating with the wider system. This is a key strategic AHP leadership role, which will lead and support the development and delivery of the AHP Programme and team to ensure that workstream and programmes are planned and carried out effectively.

Main duties of the job

As Allied Health Professional Lead, you will:

  • Provide strategic and professional line management to the AHP professions as delegated by Deputy Director of Care - Practice Development & Quality Assurance
  • Act as a point of contact and/or advice on professional issues, across the workforce, quality, safety, experience agenda.
  • Be responsible for the development and strategic oversight and operational delivery of the AHP Programme
  • Support the delivery of the new Acorns strategy, through the provision of AHP insight, expertise and knowledge, across workforce, quality, safety and experience.
  • Communicate with internal staff and external agencies to ensure compliance with performance targets, strategic objectives.
  • Undertake presentations to staff groups and the other system led initiatives where necessary.
  • Develop and implement qualitative and quantitative measures to determine performance against the organisational strategy

About You

  • Registered Allied Health Professional (with the HCPC)
  • Evidence of post qualifying and continuing professional development
  • Management experience at a senior level in public healthcare related industry
  • Experience and understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Presentation skills to a very high standard

Acorns provides care for babies, children and young people, who have life-limiting or life-threatening conditions, both in our hospices and in their homes. Our care teams are part of a supportive, multi-disciplinary team delivering care packages that are tailored to each childs individual holistic needs and were structured so that youll simply have the time to care.

Each hospice is purpose-built with individually decorated rooms overlooking our gardens. We try to make it as welcoming and friendly as possible a homely environment for the children, young people and their families.

What We Offer

  • £27,600 to £31,200 for part time hours. (£46,000 to £52,000 per annum FTE)
  • 22.5 hours per week
