Job summary
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced counsellor to join our Bereavement Services team at St Lukes Hospice. In this rewarding role, you will provide counselling and emotional support to individuals, families, and children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Working closely with a team of staff and volunteers, you will help ensure that those affected by bereavement receive timely, sensitive, and high-quality support tailored to their needs. Main duties of the job
You will manage your own counselling caseload and support bereaved individuals through one-to-one sessions, telephone contact, and group work. The role also involves conducting assessments, allocating cases, and contributing to service development. You will help train and supervise bereavement volunteers and contribute to the ongoing improvement of the service. Administrative duties include record-keeping and involvement in service evaluation. You will also support education around bereavement across the hospice.
