Job summary
An exciting opportunity for an experienced paediatric or adult nurse with a passion for education and practice development to work alongside our existing education team to ensure that our care team provide high quality, safe compassionate care.
Main duties of the job
Your role will be to
Plan and deliver robust skills packages for new and recently qualified team members
Ensure continual education for all existing Care Team members (Registered nurses and other professionals).
Work within our competency framework to ensure that the Care Team develop their skill base and their ability to deliver all aspects of good hospice palliative care.

Job Summary
The post holder will deliver Francis House education and training programme to clinical staff to enable them to provide specialist palliative care and support to children and young people.
Leading our education team, you will maintain and further develop clinical training programmes for all clinical staff. This will include supporting clinical theory and skills assessments, continued development of the competency framework. You will also be required to facilitate and develop training weeks. Flexibility across all shift patterns is required to provide guidance and support within the clinical setting promoting a competent and confident team.
Main purpose of post:
To support clinical skills development for all care team staff to sustain quality care delivery.
To support the development of clinical competence of the care team at Francis House in line with agreed educational development strategies and priorities
To promote a culture of learning and development using innovative ways to build practice education and to support the effective healthcare governance process ensuring care quality standards.
Supporting the development and delivery of designated clinical sessions for mandatory competency training.
Work collaboratively with the education team to develop educational sessions ensuring responsiveness to changing needs in clinical practice highlighted by complaints, incidents, or National Guidance

Facilitate the development and delivery of an educational programme within the hospice that reflects the wider health priorities including local and national policy.
