At Mary Ann we pride ourselves on delivering the highest standard of care and support to patients and their families, and constantly strive to ensure we reach as many people as possible, whenever and wherever they may need us. The hospice serves a population of approximately 190,000 people covering Nuneaton, Bedworth, Atherstone, Coleshill and the surrounding villages in northern Warwickshire.
The successful candidate will hold a current driving licence and have access to their own vehicle for duties associated with this role.
Main duties of the job
The Complimentary Therapy Coordinator is an essential member of the Mary Ann Evans clinical team. They must be a qualified complimentary Therapist with a level 3 qualification in 2 or more of the following: Massage, reflexology or aromatherapy and have at least 2 years experienced post registration. You must be registered with the Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council or an equivalent professional association.
The Complimentary Therapy Coordinator will work alongside our community clinical team of registered nurses and senior support workers to support patients, families and carers within both the patients own home and the hospice setting to improve their quality of life, encouraging reablement and well-being models of care.
The Complementary Therapy Coordinator will be supporting a team of qualified volunteer complementary therapists to provide a range of hand, body and other touch therapeutics such as aromatherapy, message and reflexology to promote relaxation, mange symptoms and relieve stress to those individuals who access our services. We can offer family friendly working 15 hours over 3 days however as they will predominately work within the Wellbeing programme the successful candidate would be required to work Tuesday and Thursday.

The Mary Ann Evans Hospice is an adult community hospice in North Warwickshire. As an independent charity we provide palliative and end of life nursing care and support to patients with life limiting illnesses and those that matter most to them.
Our services include Hospice at Home, Wellbeing Centre, Family Support and Bereavement, Lymphoedema care and Rapid Response (shared service with South Warwickshire NHS Foundation Trust).
We work closely with our community and hospital colleagues from the NHS, Social Services, local Care Homes and other voluntary providers.
