Were currently seeking a dedicated Nursing Associate to work at our inpatient units in Thirsk and Harrogate, and out in the community. This rewarding role gives you the opportunity to deliver high-quality, compassionate care to individuals living with life-limiting illnesses. You'll become part of a supportive, multidisciplinary team providing holistic care in both clinical settings and patients homes.
Main duties of the job
As a Nursing Associate, you'll work closely with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to provide safe, effective, and dignified care. Your role will involve:
- Supporting patients with a wide range of physical, emotional, and psychological needs to enhance comfort and quality of life.
- Delivering care in our inpatient units, assisting with personal care, symptom management, daily routines, and emotional support in a calm and supportive environment.
- Working within our community service, visiting patients in their own homes to help them feel comfortable and supported in familiar surroundings.
- Providing assistance with complex symptoms, medication, nutrition, personal care, and activities of daily living, in accordance with individual care plans.
- Contributing to overall care planning and documentation.
- Communicating openly and compassionately with patients, families, and team members, always promoting dignity, respect, and emotional well-being.
What Were Looking For:
- Registered Nursing Associate with current NMC registration
- Experience in a healthcare setting, ideally within palliative care, a specialist ward, or complex community services
- An insight into and a passion for palliative care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and a professional approach
- A caring, compassionate, and patient-focused attitude
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for community work
