Job summary
St Oswalds Hospice are seeking a highly organised and experienced Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of St Oswalds Hospice. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the maintenance of all equipment, plant machinery and facilities. You will manage a team of Maintenance Assistants to ensure that all scheduled maintenance is completed on time and to a high standard. This role requires a good working knowledge of all mechanical and electrical plant equipment and water hygiene. Knowledge of medical gases is desirable as training can provided. You will also be required to act as Duty Coordinator on a rota basis out of hours.

Main duties of the job
You will have;
- Four or more GCSE/O Level subjects at grade C or above
- A formal Apprenticeship or craft equivalent and with experience, or have come from a City & Guilds/NVQ level 2 equivalent
- IOSH / NEBOSH
- Four years multi-skilled proven maintenance experience including joinery, electrics, PAT testing, plumbing and painting and decorating
- Experience of boiler plant equipment
- Experience of water hygiene
