The Cottons Medical Centre

Salaried GP

The closing date is 31 May 2026

Job summary

We are seeking an enthusiastic and committed Salaried GP (6 sessions) to join our friendly, forward-thinking team, with a clear opportunity to progress to Partnership for the right candidate.

Based at a well-established, CQC-rated Good practice, we pride ourselves on delivering high-quality, patient-centred care while maintaining a supportive and collaborative working environment. You will be joining a stable and experienced clinical team, supported by a strong administrative and management structure, enabling you to focus on clinical excellence.

The role offers a balanced and manageable workload, utilising a modern triage system to support patient access and demand. We actively encourage professional development, leadership opportunities, and involvement in shaping the future direction of the practice.

This is an exciting opportunity for a GP looking not just for a salaried role, but a long-term career move with genuine input into decision-making and practice growth. We are looking for someone who shares our values, is passionate about patient care, and is keen to be part of a progressive and supportive practice team.

Main duties of the job

We are a supportive, well-led practice with a strong team ethos, where people genuinely enjoy coming to work. Our clinical and administrative teams work closely together, creating an environment where GPs feel valued, supported, and able to focus on delivering high-quality care without unnecessary pressure.

We recognise the importance of work-life balance and have developed systems to help manage demand safely and effectively, alongside a management team that is proactive, responsive, and committed to continuous improvement. You will be joining a stable partnership that is approachable, forward-thinking, and open to new ideas.

This role is ideal for a GP who is looking to settle into a practice, build relationships with patients and colleagues, and play a meaningful part in shaping services. There is a clear and supported pathway to Partnership for those who are interested, offering the opportunity to influence decision-making and the future direction of the practice.

If you are looking for a role where your voice is heard, your development is supported, and you can see a long-term future, we would love to hear from you.

About us

You will be joining a welcoming, experienced, and close knit team who support one another and take pride in delivering high quality patient care. Our clinicians, nursing team, and administrative staff work collaboratively, creating a positive and respectful working environment where everyone's contribution is valued.

We have a strong work ethic but also understand the importance of balance. The team is approachable, with an open culture where ideas are encouraged, and support is always available when needed. We foster a one team approach, ensuring GPs feel part of a wider network rather than working in isolation.

Our leadership team is visible, proactive, and committed to making the practice a great place to work. We continually look at ways to improve systems and processes to make day to day work more manageable and efficient.

In return, we offer a supportive environment, opportunities for development, and a clear pathway for those interested in Partnership. This is a practice where you can build strong relationships, develop your career, and feel part of something long-term.
