Job summary
Kingsway Surgeryare looking for a motivated and enthusiastic salaried GP for 5 sessions per week, to join our busy practice caring for approx. 14,000 patients.We have an excellent clinical team consisting of 2 GP Partners, 3 salaried GPs, 3 ANPs, 1 prescribing nurse, 1 prescribing paramedic practitioner, 3 practice nurses, 1 full time HCA and 1 part time phlebotomist. As well as the pharmacist team who work remotely and x3 first contact practitioner physiotherapists working with Kingsway Surgery through the Primary Care Network.We are a training practice with high QoF achievements and we have a good by the CQC. There are no OOH or weekend working and we work with the emergency care practitioners from the PCN who cover the home visits and care home ward rounds.
Kingsway Surgery is situated in a modern purpose built medical centre, with parking on site and electric car charging points. South Woodham Ferrers has good road and rail links for ease of transport.
We have a very supportive administrative team consisting of 11 receptionist, 2 medical secretaries, 2 prescription clerks, 2 scanning clerks, insurance administrator, assistant practice manager and full time practice manager.
We are a SystmOne practice who work with a triage system, Patchs econsult service and an on call GP each afternoon. Ardens templates are used in Kingsway Surgery.

We are a busy surgery who work with a total triage system as well as an on-call GP each afternoon from 1pm.
We are a training practice for both GP and Nurse trainee's.
We are looking for 5 sessions per week Tuesday afternoon, Thursday morning and afternoon and Friday morning and afternoon.
Appointments are 15 mins with the majority f2f and some telephone calls.
Morning sessions 9am to 1pm max 15 appointments and afternoon sessions 3 to 6pm max 12 appointments.
All clinical staff have a coffee break between 10.15 to 10.45 which gives time for relaxation, discussion and general chatting - tea/coffee/biscuits daily.
Free parking on site, good road and rail networks.
We would expect the successful candidate to fit in with the work rota which includes prescription signing, workflow documents/letters, blood test results, on call rota and place in the home visit rota - please note we have minimal home visits as we work closely with our PCN who have the ECP's for home visits and care home ward rounds.
