Job summary

Larksfield and Arlesey Medical Partnership are looking to recruit an experiencedData Quality Leadto join our friendly and supportive administrative team.

This is an important role within the practice, supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care by ensuring clinical information is accurately recorded and processed. The post holder will be responsible for completing workflow tasks, including the processing and coding of clinical letters and communications, Leading on the practice with QOF requirements, and assisting with patient recalls to help ensure patients receive appropriate reviews, monitoring, and follow-up care.In addition to line managing the Data Quality Team, Including approving annual leave, completing Return to works, and supporting on recruitment.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong attention to detail, good organisational skills, and an interest in working in a busy NHS primary care environment.

Main duties of the job

The successful candidate will be responsible for a range of administrative and data quality tasks, including:

  • Processing and managing clinical workflow in a timely and accurate manner

  • Reviewing, processing, and coding incoming clinical letters and communications onto the clinical system

  • Ensuring patient records are updated correctly, maintaining high standards of data quality

  • Leading the practice with QOF (Quality and Outcomes Framework) requirements

  • Assisting with patient recall systems, including chronic disease monitoring and screening recalls

  • Liaising with clinicians and the wider practice team to resolve queries and ensure records are complete

  • Supporting general administrative tasks as required within the practice

  • Line Managing the Data Quality Team - including annual leave approval and HR

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and integrity of patient records, while leading the data quality function across the organisation. This includes managing clinical correspondence workflows, maintaining high standards of clinical coding, and supporting key performance areas such as QOF.

In addition, the Data Quality Lead will provide line management and leadership to the data quality team, including supervision, performance management, HR processes, and staff development. Main Duties and ResponsibilitiesLeadership and Line Management
  • Provide day-to-day leadership and line management of the data quality team.

  • Manage annual leave requests, sickness absence, and other HR processes in line with practice policy.
