Job summary
Fantastic opportunity for a newly qualified GP to join our very friendly and hard-working multidisciplinary team. We are looking to recruit a Salaried GP for 6 sessions per week. A job share would be considered and the option to do additional extended hours in the future.
We are an innovative and forward-thinking practice and consistently look at ways of delivering better services using new technologies. We have recently won the NCL Sustainability and Green Plan 2025 Award for our community practice allotment project. We are an established training practice with regular medical, Pharmacist, PA students, F2s and GPSTs working at the practice.
We pride ourselves on providing high quality care throughout the patients journey when they contact our practice and value every team members contribution in achieving this. Our GP Partner is Clinical Director of our Primary Care Network. Our clinical team consists of GPs, ANPs, Prescribing Pharmacists, First Contact Physiotherapists, Practice Nurse, HCAs, Social Link Prescriber, Health and Wellbeing Coach.
Main duties of the job
Clinic sessions 09:00-13:10 & 14:20-18:30
Recording all patient contact on the clinical system
Referral letters to be completed in a timely manner
Review of Lab Reports
Review of documents e.g. hospital letters and discharge summaries
Medication reviews
EPS repeat prescriptions and medication queries
Home visits as required
Telephone advice
Support clinical and admin staff for clinical queries at site
Participate in duty doctor system within the team across sites
Working with the Surgery to ensure the maintenance and improvement of the Quality and Outcome
Framework, Locally Commissioned Services (LCSs), Local Improvement Scheme (LIS), Directed Enhanced Services (DESs) or the PCN.
Audits to meet Practice need
Attend Practice Training or meetings as required
Encouraged to develop and use skills for the improvement of care to patients and to record as appropriate for appraisals and CPD
Supervision or shadowing of medical students of all years as required
Potential extended management duties to be discussed (e.g. QOF work, MDTs etc.) or teaching sessions (taking a tutorial for a medical student/FY2 doctor or GP registrar) and would count as a normal clinical session in terms of pay and timings.
Mentor medical students as and when required
CPD and attending practice educational and clinical meetings
