Job summary
We are recruiting an Inclusion Health Nurse (2 days per week) to join Inclusion Health Devon CIC, supporting people experiencing severe disadvantage, including homelessness, insecure housing and social exclusion. This is a hands-on, patient-facing role with real variety. You will help run our morning drop-in service and provide autonomous nursing care that makes a direct difference to people whose health needs are often complex, unmet and shaped by trauma and inequality.
If you are motivated by reducing health inequalities, can build trust quickly, and enjoy practical clinical work in a supportive multi-disciplinary environment, we would welcome your application. You will be supported with induction, clinical supervision and training, including around substance misuse and long-acting injectable buprenorphine (Buvidal)
Main duties of the job
Across two days each week (typically Tuesday and Thursday), you will support the morning drop-in clinic and deliver a mix of urgent and planned inclusion health nursing activity. This includes complex wound assessment and management, dressings, injections and other clinical procedures, plus long-term condition monitoring and preventative care.
You will provide harm reduction advice and undertake BBV screening, with follow-up and referral in line with local pathways. You will also support patients receiving OST by administering long-acting injectable buprenorphine (Buvidal) in line with protocols and competency sign-off. You will not prescribe or clinically manage OST. Training and supervision in substance misuse will be provided.
You will develop and maintain nursing care plans, including for complex wounds, and provide appropriate clinical oversight and delegation when working alongside a Nursing Associate. Accurate clinical records, safeguarding practice, and effective multi-agency working are essential.
About us
Inclusion Health Devon CIC exists to improve access, experience and outcomes for people who are often underserved by mainstream services. We work in a practical, person-centred and trauma-informed way, combining strong clinical standards with flexibility and persistence.
You will join a small, supportive team working closely with partner organisations across health, housing and the voluntary sector. We value professionalism, reliability, and compassion. We also value curiosity and continuous improvement.
We offer a welcoming environment, regular clinical supervision, and training aligned to the role.
