Job summary
Chelmsford City Health Primary Care Network Limited
has an exciting new opportunity for an experienced
medicaladministrator to take on the role of GP Practice Assistant (GPA)
for Whitley House Surgery, one of the busy GP Practices that are part of our
Primary Care Network. This role will be based at a single surgery site Whitley
House Surgery, Crompton Building, Writtle Road, Chelmsford, Essex, CM1 3RW.
The GPA is a support role, covering
administrative tasks as part of our multi-disciplinary primary care team and
therefore contributing to the smooth running of the surgery.
This is an exciting new role to the surgery
so, offers a fantastic opportunity be part of the development of the role over
time. The below is a summary but the successful candidate should expect this to
grow and adapt over time.
Main duties of the job
Supporting release of records requests by logging them into the
surgery
Registering new patients to the surgery, managing their incoming notes
and deducting patients that leave
Supporting clinical teams with their results matching missing
results to patients, chasing results required
Assisting with clinical
correspondence received by the surgery
Supporting the triage team to care navigate online requests received
by patients and supporting the on-call doctor
Supporting national screening programmes to optimise patient uptake of
these vital services, sending out invites and reminders as required
Supporting surgery processes for managing patients with long-term
conditions from identifying, coding, inviting them through to managing
responses in and navigating them accordingly
Be part of a buddy system to understand other clinical administrative
roles within the surgery to support business needs during times of staff leave or
outside their normal working hours
Assisting the management team with compliance to local and national
services running searches and audits
Other administrative tasks as required
About us
The Chelmsford City Health Primary Care Network Limited
is a network which was formed to benefit from shared resources and to offer
healthcare services at scale to its population of 42,000 patients. The practices which are working together are Baddow
Village, Beauchamp House, Stock and Whitley House Surgeries. Two of the
practices are dispensing practices and all four are training practices.
We use the clinical system, SystmOne, for which training will be provided
during induction.
